International Day of Hope

Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

The International Day of Hope, celebrated each July 12, is a global activation led by iFred, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in partnership with The Shine Hope Company, LLC. We make our toolkits, lessons, graphics, and resources available free of charge to help spread Hope. To keep these resources free and protect their integrity, please read and follow this policy.

1. Ownership

All International Day of Hope materials, including the toolkit, the 20-Minute Hope Activation and lesson, the SHINE framework, graphics, garden signs, flyers, text, and logos (collectively, the “Materials”), are owned by The Shine Hope Company, LLC and licensed to iFred for the International Day of Hope. They are protected by copyright and trademark law. Names and marks including Shine Hope, the SHINE framework, Hopeful Cities®, and Hopeful Minds® are owned by The Shine Hope Company and/or iFred.

2. What you may do

You may download, print, and use the Materials free of charge for personal, educational, community, and other non-commercial purposes that support the International Day of Hope. Please keep our names and logos intact and credit the International Day of Hope and iFred where practical.

3. What you may not do

You may not reproduce, sell, license, modify, translate, rebrand, or redistribute the Materials, in whole or in part, for commercial purposes, or in any way that removes or alters our names, logos, or attribution, without our prior written permission. You may not present the Materials as your own.

4. Requesting permission

For commercial use, large-scale distribution, translations, or any use beyond this policy, please contact us first at hope@ifred.org.

5. Your information and privacy

When you request the toolkit, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, location, and how you plan to take action) to send you resources, understand the global reach of the day, and share occasional updates. We do not sell your personal information, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Questions about your information can be sent to hope@ifred.org.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
